Each year, the committee organizes an annual appreciation banquet for ag producers and guests. The event aims to not only show appreciation for our ag industry, but serves as a fundraiser for the 6 scholarships the committee gives out each Spring.

Event attendance is typically over 400, and is an opportunity for ag providers to invite their clients for a night of food, fun, and scholarship fundraising.

Each year the committee awards thousands of dollars via scholarships to both high school seniors, and current post-secondary students.  The scholarships are $1,000 each and total scholarships awarded annually varies depending on quantity and quality of applicants.  Scholarship recipients must be planning to enter into study/career in an agriculture-related field.

Each year the committee awards $1,000 to an agricultural education teacher seeking to add value to their student's classroom experiences.

Typical deadline for the grant application is mid-September, with award announced within 30 days.

Feed the Farmer is an initiative during spring planting and fall harvest where the committee hand delivers lunches to farmers directly in the field during their busiest times to show appreciation as well as support for the communities they provide for. The committee typically serves over 70 farmers each season.
