Are you ready to get in the G.A.M.E.? The Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (BCYMP) invites the public to attend their annual G.A.M.E. Fundraiser on Thursday, April 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the Old Sanctuary Banquet Hall.  Doors open at 5:30.

BCYMP is a one-on-one, community based youth mentoring program serving K-12 grade students in Brookings County. BCYMP board members and mentors attend G.A.M.E., along with SDSU women and men’s basketball players, four of whom will give brief motivational speeches about the principals of G.A.M.E.: Greatness, Attitude, Motivation and Excellence.  This year members of the SDSU Cheerleaders will also be there.

The fun, casual event will also feature a pulled pork dinner, dessert bar, photo booth and raffle of items generously donated by area business and BCYMP supporters..

“G.A.M.E. is a fun opportunity for people interested in learning more about BCYMP and the benefits of youth mentoring to our community,” said Darla Biel, BCYMP’s Executive Director. “Come meet our mentors and mingle with others who are investing in our young people.”

Sponsorship opportunities and tickets to the event are still available, although limited. Individuals and businesses can also support BCYMP by donating an item or basket for the raffle. For more information, call 697-0444 or email bcymentoring@gmail.com. Individual tickets are $40 or a table for six friends is $200.  Tickets may also be purchased online here:
